Reverend Mtikila dies in car crash

Kibaha. The outspoken politician and Democratic Party Chairman, Christopher Mtikila has died in a car crash Sunday morning, Pwani Regional Police Commander, Mr. Jaffar Mohamed has confirmed.
Rev. Mtikila was enroute to Dar es Salaam from Morogoro when his car overturned at Msolwa Village in Chalinze.
According to Mr Mohamed, two other people were in the car and they have sustained injuries and added that they are investigating the source of the accident.
Mtikila was born in Iringa, southern Tanzania, in 1950.
Despite political activities, Reverend Mtikila is the founder and head of the pentecostal church full Salvation Church.
At the beginning of the 90s, the pastor Mtikila acquired great popularity in the politics of the country because of its great potential to speak, his opposition to the structure of the union between Main land Tanzania and Zanziba , his claims about sabotage of the economy carried out by the Indians (who calls Magabacholi) and various constitutional case which he opened in Tanzanian courts.
