Mr Colangelo, was Mr Mufurki’s great friend who founded CEOrt with him.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of his demise as I and him were exchanging whatspp messages only last week, making plans to meet when I go to Italy for my Bellagio residency in September, but it was never meant to be,” he said in a statement.

“Tanzania has lost an incredibly innovative business pioneer, environmental conservationist, aviator and philanthropist.”
