Dodoma. President John Magufuli has revealed here that a number of diplomatic missions as well as international organisations represented in the country have shown their willingness to move to Dodoma.

Opening a Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) extraordinary national congress at Jakaya Kikwete Hall, Dr Magufuli noted that he was also planning to shift to Dodoma.

He noted also that from this month, all Cabinet meetings as well as meetings of permanent secretaries will be held in Dodoma.

“This means that from now on all major government decisions will be made in Dodoma,” he said.

He said the zeal to shift to Dodoma shown by other organisations was a result of successful implementation of plans to move to the designated capital in phases.

The Prime Minister, some ministers, deputy ministers and permanent secretaries have already shifted to Dodoma.
