Kabudi to represent Magufuli at consecration of Mbulu new Catholic Bishop

Speaking to The Citizen on Saturday, on August 11, Mbulu District Commissioner Chelestino Mofuga revealed that various participants have already arrived in Mbulu ahead of the solemn event.
Mbulu. The Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs, Prof Palamagamba Kabudi, is expected to attend a service where Rev Fr Anthony Lagwen will be consecrated to the office of Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mbulu.
The minister will attend the service on behalf of President John Magufuli.
The consecration service is scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Among other things, the service will be attended by a number of fellow bishops, religious leaders, government officials and residents of Mbulu.
Speaking to The Citizen on Saturday, on August 11, Mbulu District Commissioner Chelestino Mofuga revealed that various participants have already arrived in Mbulu ahead of the solemn event.
"The service will be graced by Prof Kabudi who will represent President John Magufuli,” said Mr Mofuga.
He further revealed that the consecration service will take place at Mbulu Catholic Diocese Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary here.
Prior to his elevation as the new Bishop, Fr Lagwen served various offices in the church.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Mbulu was previously under the office of Roman Catholic Diocese of Arusha led by Bishop Isack Amani.
