Magufuli appoints Mghwira of ACT new Kilimanjaro RC

Mghwira is the second top ranked ACT-Wazalendo leader to be appointed into President Magufuli’s government.
Dar es Salaam. President John Magufuli has made a surprising appointment naming ACT-Wazalendo national chairperson, Ms Anna Mghwira a new Regional Commissioner for Kilimanjaro.
A State House statement released few minutes ago says also that President Magufuli has appointed two ambassadors in the names of former deputy Inspect General of Police (DIGP), Abdulrahman Kaniki and Maj Gen Issa Suleiman Nassoro.
Before he was named an ambassador, Maj Gen Nassoro used to serve as head of Operations and Training with the Tanzania People Defence forces (TPDF).
Ms Mghwira takes over from Maid Meck Sadik who resigned a few days ago.
The state house statement says the three will be sworn in at a date to be announced later.
Ms Mghwira is second top ACT Wazalendo leader to be appointed by President Magufuli in his government.
First to be picked by Dr Magufuli from the opposition party was Prof Kitila Mkumbo, who used to serve as party advisor. He was appointed a Permanent Secretary in water and irrigation ministry.
