Dar es Salaam. Azam FC midfielder, Farid Mussa has officially started trails in Spain with first division side, CD Tenerife.

Farid, 20, arrived in Spain two days ago from Tunisia where he featured for Azam in the CAF Confederation Cup tie against Esperance.

Mussa was yesterday expected to be listed in the Tenerife’s line up in a friendly match, according to Azam FC official website.

Speaking with the club website, said that the Tenerife club officials are now accessing his performance.

“I thank God that they have given me a warm welcome and seem to have been impressed with me”,

“I will work hard to impress them so that they register me to play in Europe, I have always been dreaming of this”, said Mussa.

Mussa, who was raised up by Azam FC Academy, said that he is about to go for other trials with La Liga Premier league sides, Las Palmas and Malga.

“My agent, John Sorzano, a Venezuelan residing in England told me that I should also prepare for other trials with La Liga top flights, Las Palmas and Malaga and and ready for that”, he said.

“The issue is I may be sold to any club that will have an interest in me”, he said.

Farid will stay in Spain for two weeks before returning to Dar es Salaam on May 19.

“ I will return to Dar es Salaam after my trials, believing that things will work out for me”, he said.

Mussa will therefore miss all Azam FC’s Premier league assignments as it will climax on May 21.

He may however, be available for the FA Cup (Azam Sports Federation Cup) final against the Mainland champions, Dar es Salaam Young Africans scheduled for May 25.
