Yanga sign on Congolese goalie as Ali Kiba joins Coastal Union

  • Apart from the two players, the Jangwani soccer maestros also dropped their right back, Hassan Kessy, who has joined the Nkana Red Davis of Zambia.

Dar es Salaam. Young Africans have recruited two Congolese players – Heritier Makambo and goalkeeper Klauz Kinzi Kindoki – as the Mainland Tanzania Premier league transfer window closed at midnight.

Apart from the two players, the Jangwani soccer maestros also dropped their right back, Hassan Kessy, who has joined the Nkana Red Davis of Zambia.

Speaking to The Citizen yesterday, the Young Africans secretary general, Omari Kaya, said the club was in the final stages of signing a contract with their long-serving defender, Kelvin Yondani, while releasing on loan their Cameroonian goalkeeper, Youthe Rostand, to his former club, African Lyon.

However, Kaya was not ready to give details on their winger, Geoffrey Mwashiuya, who reportedly plans to join the Singida United in Singida Region.

“We are in the final stages of recruiting Yondani; we have already given them our offer, so let’s wait as the negotiations continue… If the deal is clinched, then all will be well that ends well,” Kaya stated.

Young Africans’ new players are Deus Kaseke, Mrisho Ngasa, Feisal Salum ‘Fei Toto’ Abdalah, Jaffar Mohamed, Elisha Moroiwa and Heritier Makambo.

Many clubs were yesterday finalizing their players recruitment exercise as per the deadline issued by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).

Soccer Big Guns Simba and Azam conducted the exercises smoothly, compared with their fellow soccer Big Gun, Young Africans.

Simba managed to recruit eight players, namely Marcel Kaheza, Adam Salamba, Mohammed Rashid, Meddie Kagere, Pascal Wawa, Deogratius ‘Dida’ Munish, Cletus Chama and Abdul Seleman.

Azam FC completed the exercise with a bang after signing Danny Lyanga from Singida United. The team also has recruited Mudathir Yahya, Ditram Nchimbi, Nicco Wadada, Hassan Mwasapili, Donald Ngoma and Tafadzwa Kutinyu.

In another development, Coastal Union has signed on ‘Bongo Flava artist Ali Kiba ahead of the next season’s Mainland Premier League.

Coastal Union information officer Hafidh Kido confirmed that Kiba has signed a two-year contract, noting that “Kiba is a good player, and I believe he will help them to do better in the next season.”
