Atcl Should Work Smart

What you need to know:

The ATCL boss announced that the national carrier would soon launch flights to various international and regional destinations.

The revelation made earlier in the week by the managing director of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), Mr Ladislaus Matindi, is music to the ears of many Tanzanians.

The ATCL boss announced that the national carrier would soon launch flights to various international and regional destinations.

The airline currently flies to Moroni in the Comoros and 12 local destinations, including Bukoba, Dodoma, Mbeya, Mwanza, Songea, Tabora, Kigoma and Zanzibar.

This is a commendable step, given the fact that the government has resolved to revive the national carrier that had almost disappeared from the aviation world.

The decision makes even more sense as it comes at a time when ATCL is taking delivery of new planes.

However, we hope that the airline’s board and management have already carefully weighed the pros and cons of the decision.

Furthermore, they, more than anyone else, should be aware of the cutthroat competition that is synonymous with the aviation industry.

For the company to succeed, it must ensure that it has well-trained staff and is well equipped and liquid enough to cope with the ups and downs of the business.

The way staff handle customers will determine if the airline becomes their choice in the long run. Smart marketing and customer care must be embraced.

Go ATCL, go! You can and should conquer the world!
