VIDEO: Mourners pay last respects to Arusha road crash victims

Various religious and political leaders gathered for a ceremony to bid farewell to the remains of 11 people who were killed in the Ngaramtoni area of Arusha city suburb when a trailer rammed into three vehicles.

Last Saturday, an accident killed at least 25 people, seven of whom were foreign nationals, and injured 21 others.

However, today only 11 bodies were laid for the farewell ceremony taking place at Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium in Arusha.

This is because four people have already been buried in accordance with their Islamic religious beliefs and the foreigners were not brought at the stadium for farewell.
