Dar es Salaam. Tanzania national football team (Taifa Stars) acting head coach Hemed “Morocco” Suleiman has unveiled his squad that will face Sudan in the world football governing body (FIFA) calendar match.

In the squad of 21 players, Morocco did not include familiar faces from big guns, Young Africans (Yanga), Simba and Azam FC.

Apart from that, Morocco also did not include the team skipper, Mbwana Samatta, who plays for PAOK of Greece as well as Simon Msuva of Al-Najma SC of Saudi Arabia.

The reason behind is to allow the Tanzania Mainland Premier League players to feature well in the remaing matches.

So far, the league seems to be a three-horse affair, whereby Yanga, Azam FC and Simba are struggling for the top three positions.

Despite the fact that Yanga are about to clinch the title for the third time in a row following the huge point gap they have widen against  Azam FC and Simba, the team need at least  eight points to win the title.

The Jangwani Street side are currently leading the league with 65 points, followed by Azam FC who are with 57 points and Simba who are third with 53 points.

The league log statuses have also forced the Taifa Stars technical bench not to include the teams’ players in the team.

On the list of 21 players, Morocco has included only six players from the Tanzania Mainland Premier League clubs such as goalkeeper Ally Salim from Simba,  defenders Mukrim Abdallah (IhefuFC), Abdulmalik Zakaria (Namungo FC) and Baraka Mtuwi of Mashujaa FC.
