PCCB uncovers flaws in development project worth Sh69m project

Mwanza.  The Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) has discovered flaws in the implementation of a Sh69.3 million development project it investigated this year.

PCCB Mwanza regional head Ernest Makale said yesterday that the investigation was carried out between July and September.

 “During the period, we opened four cases in court and saved over Sh10.2 million,” said Mr Makale in a report

He said PCCB also received 80 complaints about corruption.

 Of the complaints, 58 targeted executives of wards, villages, streets and other departments.
