Rwanda forces kill 'unidentified' DRC soldier after he crosses border

Congolese police on June 17, 2022 escort a convoy transporting the body of a DRC soldier who was shot and killed by Rwandan forces at Rubavu border post. Another soldier was killed at the same place on November 19, 2022.

The Rwandan army has Saturday killed a soldier in the district of Rubavu, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to a statement from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), the soldier was an "unidentified" but was “believed to be from the FARDC (DR Congo armed forces)".
