Dar es Salaam. Fresh from sealing their place in the CAF Champions’ League group stage, Young Africans (Yanga) return to domestic duty on October 28, 2025 taking on Mtibwa Sugar at the KMC Complex in Mwenge, Dar es Salaam. The match kicks off at 4pm.

After playing just two league matches so far, Yanga currently sit 13th in the standings with four points from one win and one draw.
Mtibwa Sugar, on the other hand, have had a relatively stronger start to their campaign.
The Morogoro-based side are placed 9th in the league table with five points from four matches- one win, two draws, and one defeat. They have scored two goals and conceded just one, underlining their defensive discipline.
Given these statistics, today’s encounter is expected to be tightly contested. Yanga, despite their slow league start, remain one of the most formidable teams in Tanzanian football.
Their attention had been heavily focused on continental duties, but with CAF progress secured, they are expected to field a full-strength squad determined to climb up the domestic standings.
