The government is set to launch the guidelines at the ongoing 42nd Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), which kicked off on June 28. It will run through July 13.

During the trade fair, business clinic will be conducted and tractors that have been assembled at Kibaha under the National Development Corporation (NDC) will be on sale.

The permanent secretary in ministry of Industries, Trade and Investment, Prof Elisante Ole Gabriel, said his yesterday’s tour of DITF.

Over 2,900 local exhibitors and others from 33 countries will participate in the annual trade fair, which will be held at Mwl Nyerere Ground along Kilwa road.

“We also expect more than a million visitors to various pavilions this year. I call upon the public to come and see what our exhibitors have prepared for us,” he said.

He said the guidelines will help the government to determine the type of industries the country needs towards realisation of an industrial economy by 2025.

For his part, the Tantrade Director General, Mr Edwin Rutageruka, said preparations have been complete, adding that the exhibitors are currently busy preparing what to exhibit.

He called on the public to visit various pavilions where they can learn about many products, which are produced locally.
