Dar es Salaam. Mwanga Hakika Bank (MHB) has launched a new branch in Arusha as it strengthens its presence across the country.

The branch at Central Plaza Building brings the total number of MHB branches across the country to seven. Other branches are located in Dar es Salaam, Moshi, Dodoma, Mwanga and Same.

Speaking during the opening of the branch, the bank's managing director, Mr Jagjit Singh, said the move aimed at bringing the lender’s services closer to the people. “The new branch seeks to tap into the vibrant economic activities in Arusha which is best known for tourism and its related services," he said.

Opening of the branch, said Mr Singh, was part of the strategies for turning around the bank and setting it on the growth path by, among other issues, reinvigorating its physical presence.

Gracing the event, the Minister for Finance and Planning, Dr Mwigulu Nchemba, commended the bank’s commitment and support to infrastructure projects and for financing Small and Medium Enterprises.
