NBC extends its new digital payment system to Dodoma

  • Dubbed NBC Connect, the digital service will enable corporate customers in the region to make safe and reliable payments without physical movement to bank branches

Dar es Salaam. The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has extended its new digital payment solution to Dodoma as it seeks to simplify transactions by companies and organisations that operate in the capital city.

Dubbed NBC Connect, the digital service will enable corporate customers in the region to make safe and reliable payments without physical movement to bank branches.

The Dodoma launch follows the recent two launches in Mbeya and the Lake Zone respectively.

Speaking during the launch, NBC’s Dodoma branch manager Japhet Fungo said the introduction of the new service is a continuation of the bank’s efforts to provide simplified, reliable, safe and tailored banking services to its corporate customers.

“The product provides our customers with safe and convenient services anytime, anywhere through online banking,” he said.

Mr Fungo further noted that the service will enable customers to use their phones or computers to easily perform various transactions, including local and foreign payments, and government payments without wasting too much time.

Dodoma Regional Administrative Secretary Ally Gugu expressed his appreciation to NBC for the significant role that the bank is playing in the financial sector.

He said their coming up with innovative services that save time and increase efficiency, was commendable.

“We are confident that the arrival of NBC Connect will increase efficiency in companies and organizations using the facility here in Dodoma,” said Mr Gugu.
