Dar es Salaam. Pepsi Tanzania, produced and distributed by SBC Tanzania, has renewed its partnership with musician Diamond Platnumz.

The collaboration, which began in 2018, is credited with strengthening Pepsi’s presence in the local soft drinks market by combining music, youth engagement, and marketing campaigns.

Speaking during a press briefing, SBC Tanzania’s Marketing Manager, Mr Jasper Maston, said the renewed partnership reflects the company’s commitment to connecting with Tanzanian youth through culture and entertainment.

“For 24 years, SBC Tanzania has been active in the beverage sector. Our partnership with Diamond Platnumz has allowed us to connect with the country’s youth in meaningful ways,” he said.

Campaigns such as Mkubwa Wao, Mwamba Wao and the ongoing Pepsi Thirsty for More initiative have contributed to the brand’s visibility, with Diamond’s performances at Wasafi Festivals playing a key role in promoting Pepsi.

Mr Maston described the artist as a symbol of creativity and authenticity, noting that the renewed partnership would include new campaigns and community-focused activities.

“Diamond Platnumz embodies the boldness and authenticity that Pepsi represents. His popularity and creative approach align with our aim to remain relevant and aspirational,” he added.

According to the company, the partnership will continue to promote local talent, celebrate Tanzanian culture, and deliver high-energy campaigns under the Pepsi Thirsty for More platform.

“To our fans: your support motivates us. To our partners: your trust strengthens us. And to Diamond: thank you for being a central part of this journey,” said Mr Maston.
