Dar es Salaam. CFAO Mobility has officially launched its distribution of Chinese trucks Shacman in the Tanzanian market in efforts to reinforce the growing need for heavy-duty vehicles in the country.

Deputy permanent secretary in the ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr Suleiman Hassan Serera, welcomed the arrival of Shacman trucks, noting their significance in supporting Tanzania’s growing infrastructure, mining and logistics industries.

“The introduction of Shacman trucks in Tanzania strengthens efficiency, durability and reliability in our industrial and logistics sectors. With ongoing infrastructural projects, mining developments and trade corridor improvements, the trucks arrive at an opportune time,” said Dr Serera.

He further highlighted that the partnership would facilitate technology transfer, job creation and enhance trade ties between Tanzania and China.

CFAO Mobility Tanzania, the official distributor, will provide access to a range of Shacman models, including the Tractor Horse - H30000S 6X4 (400HP) model SX4255HU324R and the Dump Truck - H3000S 6x4 (340HP) model SX3255MR384R. The trucks are designed to meet the rigorous demands of industries such as construction, mining, and long-haul logistics while ensuring cost efficiency.

Chief executive officer of the CFAO Mobility Tanzania, Mr Ali Timimi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing reliable transport solutions for local businesses.

“The commercial transport industry is the backbone of economic growth, supporting key sectors such as construction, logistics, and manufacturing. At CFAO Mobility Tanzania, we recognise the challenges businesses face in accessing cost-effective, fuel-efficient, and high-performing trucks. Shacman trucks are built to withstand tough terrains while keeping operational costs low. Through strong after-sales service, we ensure businesses in Tanzania have access to reliable transport solutions,” said Mr Timimi.

Founded in 1968, Shacman has become one of the world’s leading heavy-duty truck manufacturers, with a strong global service network.

Representative from Shacman China headquarters, Mr Wei Yang, reiterated the brand’s dedication to the Tanzanian market.

“Tanzania has always been an important market for Shacman, and we are committed to delivering high-quality trucks and services to meet the country’s growing demand. CFAO Mobility Tanzania will play a key role in understanding customer needs and ensuring quality service,” said Mr Yang.
