London. Invest Africa yesterday announced the appointment of Symbion Power chief executive officer Paul Hinks as its (Invest Africa) chairman in the United States.
Invest Africa was founded in 2013 as a platform for business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to gain insight and exposure to information and opportunities from Africa.
Its members – currently standing at 350 from across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Africa - include fund managers, private and institutional investors, family offices, serial entrepreneurs, corporations and policy makers and thought leaders. (Agencies)
The move seeks to reinforce the platform’s global expansion efforts.
Mr Hinks will spearhead the expansion of the network’s mission to become the pre-eminent global platform dedicated to private sector connectivity in sub-Saharan Africa.
Mr Hinks retired as the chairman of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in the United States in April after four years of service. He assumes his new position at Invest Africa yesterday (May 9, 2016) and continue as a board member at CCA. (Agencies)
