Bolt launches new rewards plan for drivers

Dar es Salaam. Bolt has launched rewards initiative aimed at acknowledging the exceptional ride-hailing experiences offered by its driver partners.

Known as ‘Bolt Rewards’, the initiative will honour and incentivise its driver partner community, demonstrating appreciation for their dedication and service.

It will be conducted in a tiered rewards system and in-app discounts, general manager, Bolt Tanzania, Dimmy Kanyankole said yesterday.

He said driver partners will automatically be enrolled into Bolt Rewards, and will accumulate points based on the number of finished riders over the course of one month.

There are four tiers of rewards based on points accumulated, including Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Bolt Rewards helps recognise and reward driver partners, with incentives and discounts which help driver partners manage their operating costs and unexpected costs of repairs.

“At Bolt, we understand that satisfied driver partners lead to satisfied riders. With Bolt Rewards, we aim to acknowledge and incentivise the drivers on our platforms who consistently deliver top-notch ride-hailing experiences. This initiative highlights our commitment to enhancing the driver app and appreciating our driver partner community,” he said.

Bolt Rewards joins a suite of recent Driver app upgrades from Bolt aimed at helping driver partners provide a high-quality ride-hailing experience.

The new Driver Compliments feature provides drivers with recognition of exceptional service and motivation through positive post-trip rating compliments and comments. Bolt continues to offer more flexible earning opportunities for driver partners, and ensure riders can access our ride-hailing services wherever they are.
