Tigo adopts ‘Live It, Love It’ as new brand identity

Dar es Salaam. Tigo announced its new brand identity yesterday as Tanzania’s fastest growing it seeks to cope with changing customer aspirations.

Under the new identity, Tigo has shifted from its ‘Smile, you are with Tigo’ slogan and will now be associated with a motto of “Live it, Love it”.

“The new slogan is the culmination of an extensive project to reimage Tigo’s position in minds of a fast changing customer base,” general manager, Diego Gutierrez.

Going by Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) figures, Tigo is the fastest growing mobile phone firm in the country in terms of subscription. It registered 772,684 new subscriber identification module (Sim) cards out of all the 1,071,468 new sim cards registered between April and June 2015. Its sim cards rose to 10,037,199  in June from 9,264,515 in March.
