CUF congratulates new CCM Secretary General

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mr Hamad said it was the expectations of CUF and Tanzanians in general that Dr Bashiru would use his position within the party to advise the government and fellow leaders within the party on the importance of rebuilding the country under the foundations of democracy, respect of human rights and the observance of the rule of law in the country.
The Secretary General of the Civic United Front, Seif Sherif Hamad, has congratulated Dr Bashiru Ally for his new appointment as the new Secretary General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM)and confirmed by the party’s National Executive Committee.Dr Bashiru takes over from Dr Abdulrahman Kinana.

As leaders, Mr Hamad said it was their duty to prioritize the nation’s wider interests by observing integrity, justice and patriotism. The CUF Secretary General added that the nation’s interests must be above the boundaries of their political parties.
Mr Hamad said CUF wished Dr Bashiru a good service in his new role and wished his comrade Abdulrahman Kinana a good rest as well following his decision to retire from the political scene. He also said that they would keep remembering his contribution in building the country’s good foundations of democracy.
