‘Dr Harmonize’? Renowned Tanzanian artist aspires to study medicine

Dar es Salaam. Renowned Tanzanian artist Rajab Kahali, famously known as Harmonize, has shared his aspirations beyond the music industry, revealing a surprising future career goal.

The Konde Music Worldwide founder disclosed his desire to become a doctor after retiring from music, a decision he envisions pursuing between the ages of 45 and 50.

Harmonize expressed his awareness that his music career will not last forever, and he has already begun thinking about what would bring him fulfillment once his time in the industry winds down.

Speaking about his future ambitions, he revealed his passion for studying medicine and working in a hospital to help save lives.

“I’ve been thinking about what I want to do once my music career slows down. Maybe when I’m 45 or 50, I’ll consider studying medicine. I’d love to spend at least a year working in a hospital, helping people,” Harmonize stated.

He said in addition to his desire to provide humanitarian aid by treating patients, he finds joy in the idea of bringing smiles to people’s faces through his future work in healthcare.

Despite his formal education ending at primary school level, Harmonize believes his dream is achievable.

Harmonize also addressed his daughter Zulekha's potential career in music, saying he is perfectly fine with her pursuing a career as a musician, acknowledging that everyone has their own unique path to follow.
