This highly anticipated project, first revealed by Rick Ross on his Instagram in February, this year, aims to fuse African musical elements with Ross's distinctive style.
In an exclusive interview with The Citizen, Mangoma shared insights into his role, highlighting his efforts in artistic recruitment and album promotion across East Africa
“My involvement includes identifying and recruiting artistes for the project. So, I have already sent them the list so they can look at who fits based on the songs they have composed,” he shared.
Mangoma added that apart from his contribution to the project, he will also be part of promotion in East Africa when the album is released.
“We’ve shot some interviews with the artistes talking about the project but also I am creating an environment in which when the album is out, people will already have an idea of what to expect,” explained Mr Mangoma.
However, reflecting on the collaboration, Mangoma praised Rick Ross's team for their openness to new ideas and willingness to learn.
"Their focused approach has been exemplary. Meeting their standards has been challenging, but my team and I strive to deliver," Mangoma stressed.
Beyond his work with Rick Ross, Mangoma is the CEO and founder of Deal Done Management that is with best known Tanzanian artiste Hamisa Mobeto
