Dar es Salaam. Kenyan singer Willy Paul reignites his feud with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, emphasising his intolerance for disrespect following his collaboration announcement with Tanzanian artist Phina.

Phina's decision to work with Willy Paul has sparked mixed reactions among Tanzanian fans, many expressing displeasure due to Willy Paul's previous actions perceived as disrespectful towards Tanzanian artists.

In response to the backlash, Willy Paul addressed his Tanzanian audience on Instagram, stating, "My dear brothers and sisters in Tanzania, don't be misled into thinking that I dislike you or your artists. We are all family, and we need each other. But what I will not tolerate is disrespect."

He further recounted an incident where Diamond allegedly provoked him, leading to a confrontation at Nairobi's Furaha Fest, which Diamond's camp cited as disrespectful.

Phina joined the conversation, urging fans to focus on the unifying power of music, stating, "Let us not lose focus on what unites us—music. Let us not limit music because music has no boundaries." She emphasised her belief in unity over division, rejecting the notion of taking sides.

As Willy Paul and Phina's collaboration nears release, the East African music community watches closely, anticipating how fans from both countries will respond to this musical alliance amidst ongoing tensions.
