‘Chid Benz’ dragged to court in drug case

Dar es Salaam. A Bongo Flava Artist, Rashid Abdallah Makwalo, alias Chid Benz, was yesterday charged with illegal possession of narcotic drugs. He was arreigned before the Kisutu Resident Magistrates’ Court.
Makwalo, 29, appeared before Resident Magistrate Warilwande Lema and denied the charges and was remanded after failing to meet bail conditions.
The court had ordered him to sign a bond of Sh1 million and to secure two reliable sureties. The case will come up for mention on November 11, this year, after prosecution informed the court that investigations were yet to be completed.
