Pinda to grace ‘Tanzania Honey Show 2024’ in Dar

Dar es Salaam. Over 400 exhibitors and more than 5,000 players in the beekeeping industry will convene in the city mid this year to a festival where they will deliberate on market challenges and ways of raising honey consumption in Tanzania.

Known as ‘Tanzania Honey Show 2024’, the festival is a brainchild of Tanzania Honey Junction Limited, a company that markets itself as one that is committed to promoting sustainable beekeeping practices, fostering environmental conservation, and delivering high-quality bee products.

The company said on Tuesday that the Tanzania Honey Show 2024, which will be graced by former Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda, offers an opportunity for players to come up with ways of addressing challenges facing the sector; elevating honey consumption within Tanzania and providing local beekeepers with the tools and opportunities to access global markets

Themed “Beyond Borders, Beyond Hives", the three-day event that starts on June 19, 2024, will also provide engaging exhibitions, interactive workshops, culinary competitions, tastings and demonstrations on the diverse applications of honey while promoting sustainable beekeeping practices.

The chosen theme reflects our commitment to showcasing the global significance and innovations within the honey industry that transcend geographical and traditional boundaries. It emphasizes the expansive reach of beekeeping practices and the diverse flavors of honey that extend beyond the confines of hives,” Tanzania Honey Junction Limited said in a statement.

The company said the festival – to be held at Mlimani City - was not merely a showcase but rather, a platform for innovation and collaboration.

The participants include industry experts, beekeeping enthusiasts, and visitors
