Association to lead Tanzanian delegation to OTC in the US

Dar es Salaam. Players in offshore technologies for oil and gas are gathering for a four-day conference and exhibition in Texas, US, in an assembly that offers Tanzanians several benefits.
Known as the Offshore Technology Conference and Exhibition (OTC), 2023, which will be held from May 1 to May 4, the event offers a Tanzanian delegation an opportunity to access educational and technical workshops and also hold Business-to-Business matchmaking (B2B) with potential investors and joint venture partners.
The Association of Tanzania Oil & Gas Service Providers (ATOGS) is expected to lead a Tanzanian delegation to the OTC, whereby as part of the preparation and in collaboration with the US Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam, ATOGS held a Pre-Trade Mission meeting yesterday with senior officials from nine industry executives and CEO delegation of companies in the Energy, Oil & Gas sectors travelling to the US.
The meeting was led by the chairman of the board, Mr Abdulsamad Abdulrahim, and attended by a senior commercial officer from US Commercial Service Tanzania, Mr Ken Walsh; a commercial specialist from US Commercial Service in Tanzania, Mr Andrew Mahiga and ATOGS members travelling to the US. Mr Abdulrahim said shortly after the meeting that Tanzania’s delegation will also have access to special networking events.
“Our delegation will also have access to the International Business Centre lounge, networking with over 59,000+ energy professionals from 40+ countries that will be there as well as connecting with global C-suite leaders and 100+ speakers to discover what innovations we can expect over the next 50 years,” he said.
He further noted that the delegation will have an opportunity to meet with high-level executives, various globally renowned manufacturers, and suppliers, visit innovation and technology solutions centres, and learn industry best practises.
