The auction to sell office furniture was held at the Dar es Salaam Inland Container Depot (DICD) by the Yono Auction Mart.
Equipment in question includes office tables, chairs and shelves.
Before the auction begun, Yono Auction Mart director Scholastika Kevela instructed all interested bidders to produce at least one of the recognizable documents—such as a driving licence, a national identification card or a passport.
Most of the bidders offered to pay between Sh6 million and Sh15 million, which according to the actioner was less than the target prices.
Earlier, Yono Auction Mart founding partner Yono Kevela told journalists that they had hoped that all the containers and their contents would be sold on Saturday, September 1.
This was the second time for bidders to fail to reach the set prices for the consignments. The first auction was held on Saturday, August 25.
