Bunge Bonanza gets Azania Bank backing

Dodoma. Azania Bank has been unveiled as the main sponsor of the 2025 Parliamentary Bonanza, set to take place on Saturday, 1st February, at the John Merlin Secondary School grounds in Dodoma. The event will bring together Members of Parliament and Parliamentary staff, who are avid supporters of the Simba and Yanga football clubs.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Bonanza, Mr Festo Sanga, confirmed during yesterday’s handover of event equipment that President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Mr Wallace Karia will grace the event.

Several prominent leaders, including the Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Tulia Ackson, are expected to grace the event with their presence.

Azania Bank’s Dodoma Branch manager Liberia Peter, said this year marks the second consecutive time the bank has sponsored the Bonanza. He emphasised the bank’s commitment to promoting sports and wellness, acknowledging the importance of maintaining the health and vitality of the country’s representatives to effectively oversee the government.

"We are proud to provide all the necessary equipment for the Bonanza, from jerseys and tracksuits to T-shirts, medals, and footballs. In addition to the sporting gear, we have also arranged for a dinner to be held at the Parliament grounds that evening. With meticulous planning, we are confident that this year’s event will surpass last year’s in organisation and excitement," said Peter.

The event will feature a range of prizes for the winners, and the theme for this year’s Bonanza is ‘Our Rivalry, Our Unity,’ highlighting the spirit of competition and togetherness among the parliamentarians.

The 2025 Parliamentary Bonanza is expected to be a highly anticipated event in Dodoma, drawing attention from both political leaders and sports enthusiasts alike.
