Dar es Salaam. President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s dropping of Mr January Makamba and Mr Nape Nnauye from her Cabinet may have surprised many, but insiders say the decision reveals the level of power play within the ruling party.
Late on Sunday, President Hassan announced a significant cabinet reshuffle that saw Mr Nnauye, who served as Minister of Information, Communication and Information Technology, and Mr Makamba, who held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, being relieved of their duties.
