CCM's SG Nchimbi on working visit to Ethiopia

Dar es Salaam. The Secretary-General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi, will lead a CCM delegation on a working visit to Ethiopia from January 29 to 31,  2025, following an invitation from the country’s ruling party, the Prosperity Party.

In addition to attending the second Congress of the Prosperity Party, Ambassador Nchimbi’s visit aims to further develop and strengthen the longstanding ties between Ethiopia and Tanzania, as well as their respective governments, through the two ruling parties.

The visit also seeks to enhance the economic diplomacy partnership between Ethiopia and Tanzania, which was established many years ago on the strong foundations of political solidarity during the African liberation struggles.

During the visit, Ambassador Nchimbi will hold discussions with senior leaders of the Prosperity Party, focusing on deepening cooperation for mutual benefit across various development sectors, particularly investment, trade, agriculture, and technology.

Ambassador Nchimbi is scheduled to return to Tanzania on 1 February 2025.
