Coast, Dar residents to run short of water on Monday

Dar es Salaam. A section of residents in Dar es Salaam and Coast Regions  will run short of water for about 24 hours starting from early Monday, the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Company (Dawasco) has announced.

A public notice released on Sunday, August 26 by Dawasco’s office of public relations says the shortage will be caused by major maintenance slated to be undertaken on large pipes of the Lower Ruvu plants along River Mpiji in Bagamoyo District, Coast Region.

“Affected areas will run short of water from Monday, August 27, at 6am to Tuesday, August 28, at 6am,” reads part of the public notice.

The notice has named the affected areas as; Kerege CCM, Kerege Kiweti, Kerege Amani, Kerege Matumbi, Kerege Manofu, Mapinga, Mingoi, Kiharaka and Kiembeni.

The company has apologized for any possible inconveniences caused.
