Congolese music star Papa Wemba collapses, dies on stage

The Congolese singer, whose real name was Jules Shungu Webadio remained one of Africa's most popular musicians, he also inspired a cult movement known as the Sapeurs whose members, young men, spend huge amounts of money on designer clothes.


Congolese singer Papa Wemba (66) has died after collapsing on stage in Abidjan in Ivory Coast, according to media reports.

Videos and photos  from the concert show the artist fall to the floor while has band and dancers collect around him.
