CSI Energy Group unveils ESG development plan

Dar es Salaam. Energy firm CSI Energy Group has revealed its inaugural environmental, social and governance (ESG) report in an attempt to support sustainable development across its operations.

The company said the report called “The First Stitch” reflects its commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance and ethical leadership which are key for sustainable development.

The company said it aligns its efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and embrace ESG principles in reporting.

“The metaphor of ‘The First Stitch’ embodies our commitment to start weaving a narrative of change, a narrative that combines traditional wisdom with modern innovation.

We are at the beginning of a transformative era, where every action, every decision, is a stitch in the fabric of a greener, more inclusive Africa,” said deputy chief executive officer of CSI Energy Group, Ms Natacha Emilien. . (The Citizen Reporter)

“Our corporate social initiatives have touched lives in various ways. Our focus lies on the locals. We believe in Africa’s community development and enact on the same.

For example, the collaboration with local food vendors has spurred economic activity and social upliftment, not just as an employer but also as a community partner and advocate for local progress,” said the company’s sustainability manager, Ms Christine Nafula.
