Deputy minister admitted in hospital after an accident

Dodoma. The deputy minister of state in the President’s Office, Regional Administration, and Local Government (PO-Ralg), Dr. Festo Dugange, has been admitted to Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma following a road accident.
The Citizen has learned that the accident occurred on April 26, 2023 at night, however, the authorities are yet to disclose the deputy minister’s accident.
The attempts to reach PO-Ralg’s minister, Ms. Angellah Kairuki, have so far been futile, however, Vice President Philip Mpango today visited him at the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
While speaking in Chamwino during the inauguration of fire brigade facilities on April 26, 2023, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa informed the audience that their MP, Deo Ndenjembi, did not attend the event because he was nursing the deputy minister who had an accident the day before.
"Greetings from your member of parliament, Ndejembi (Deo); he wished to be here with you, but we have given him the responsibility to check on the treatment of a deputy minister who had an accident yesterday," said Majaliwa without naming the deputy minister who had an accident.
According to reliable information from Benjamin Mkapa Hospital, deputy minister Dr. Dugange, who doubles as MP from Wanging’ombe, Njombe region, was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition but he has since stablised.
"It is true that the injured person is Dr. Dugange; he was brought here in a critical condition, but we thank God that he is doing well now," revealed our source.
