Gamba died from blood hemorrhage in the brain: family

Dar es Salaam. The death of a Tanzanian journalist, Mr Isaac Gamba, an employee of Germany’s Deutsche Welle (DW) was caused by a hemorrhage in the brain, an autopsy report prepared by German medics has revealed.
Gamba was found dead at his home in Bonn, Germany, on Thursday, October 18. Since then his body had been under German police and medics for further investigation to establish the possible cause of his sudden death. Mr Gamba’s family confirmed the cause of his death during a farewell mass in his honour held at Lugalo hospital before his body was flown to Bunda in Mara Region for his burial on Wednesday.
Members of his family, the media and friends who attended the function to pay theor last resopects said the World had lost a talented and hardworking person who was friendly to those he knew or worked with. They said his death had left many in distress.
“It wasn’t easy to accept the death of Isaac,” said Handeni District commissioner Godwin Gondwe. He added that Mr Gamba was a kind man who always stood for justice in his entire life.
“I will personally remember Isaac because he was very hard working man. I wasn’t surprised when he was appointed to join DW…I knew that the country was getting the right representative out there,” said an emotional Charles Hillary, a long-serving journalist.
One of his work mates in Bonn who landed in Tanzania to attend the burial said he was lucky to Mr Gamba as a co-worker. He described the late journalist as someone who is so encourageable in whatever circumstance in a work place and also a hard worker person among the people he worked with
Leading the sendoff, the region RC Paul Makonda offered condolences to the family and media, insisting that whatever good that Gamba did should be developed starting with the unit and corporation among the journalists together with determination and hard working
Early Life
Isaac was born the 12th among 13 children of Nyagabona Muyenjwa Gamba’s family in January 19, 1970 in Bunda. He joined Kabarimu School for primary education from 1978 to 1984. After passing, Isaac joined Majengo Secondary School in 1975 for secondary education
After completing secondary education, he joined the National Service (JKT) according to the law before starting his broadcasting career. He then studied Mass Communication at Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCO).
Broadcasting Career
His broadcasting life started in Arusha where he worked with Radio 5 before shifting to Mwanza where he joined the Radio Free Africa (RFA)
Early in 2000, he joined Radio Uhuru in Dar es Salaam and later in 2003 he moved to ITV/Radio One from where he joined the DW
Family
According to his family, Gamba had neither married nor having a single kid in his life.
