  • The increasing demand for high-speed internet connectivity, the telecom firm has embarked on an ambitious project to expand its network coverage, ensuring that more Tanzanians can enjoy faster internet speeds and reliable communication services.

Dar es Salaam. Halotel Tanzania said yesterday that it has significantly expanded its 3G and 4G network infrastructure to enhance services for customers across the country.

According to deputy managing director Nguyen Le Phuong, the company currently has a total of 2,904 sites, 1,730 of them equipped with advanced 4G infrastructure, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality connectivity and improved data services to its customers.

He noted that with the rapid growth in data consumption and the increasing demand for high-speed internet connectivity, the telecom firm has embarked on an ambitious project to expand its network coverage, ensuring that more Tanzanians can enjoy faster internet speeds and reliable communication services.

The fast internet, Le Phuong said, enables Halotel customers to conduct smoother video streaming and have a better overall online experience.

“In addition to its 4G expansion, Halotel has significantly increased its 3G coverage, ensuring that even remote areas have access to reliable mobile data services. The expanded network will reduce network congestion and provide seamless connectivity, allowing customers to stay connected no matter where they are in Tanzania,” he said.

Mr Le Phuong further noted that Halotel is dedicated to connecting Tanzanians to a brighter future, and this expansion represents a significant milestone in our journey.

“We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality, affordable telecommunications services, and we are taking bold steps to make that vision a reality,” he said.

Halotel is among the major players in the telecommunications industry in Tanzania, contributing to economic development, education, healthcare, and connectivity among communities across the country.

Mr Phuong said the company continues to innovate and expand and that it remains committed to being at the forefront of technological advancements in the telecommunications sector as it seeks to provide Tanzanians with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
