The Indian Army Chief, General Manoj Pande, will arrive in Tanzania on October 1, 2023, for a four-day official visit.

During the visit, General Pande will visit the Minister of Defence and National Service, and have an official meeting with the Chief of the Defence Forces and other senior military leadership of the Tanzania People's Defence Forces (TPDF).

He will also visit Zanzibar and interact with the Army Brigade there.

General Pande will also visit the Defence College in Dar es Salaam and interact with the Commandant and faculty of the Command and Staff College, Duluti.

His visit will coincide with the 2nd India Tanzania Mini Defexpo, which is being held in Dar es Salaam.

The Indian Army Chief's visit is a significant opportunity to deepen bilateral defence cooperation between India and Tanzania.
