Infobip unveils documentary showcasing journey to billion-dollar status

Dar es Salaam. Global communications platform Infobip has released a new documentary in collaboration with CBS News, highlighting its remarkable journey from a startup to becoming the first Croatian company to achieve a billion-dollar valuation without external funding.
The documentary showcases Infobip’s exponential growth and its role in transforming business communication by enabling more conversational customer experiences. Since its inception in 2006, Infobip has been at the forefront of omnichannel communication, helping businesses connect seamlessly with customers through platforms they already use.
One of Infobip’s key success stories is its partnership with Uber, where it has supported the ride-hailing giant in maintaining competitiveness across regions such as Asia-Pacific (APAC), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Latin America (LATAM). Serving over 110 million users, Infobip has facilitated Uber’s secure communications through number masking, ensuring a 90% global call anonymisation rate.
The collaboration has expanded to include SMS alerts, WhatsApp communication, and even allowing users to order Uber rides directly through messaging services.
Infobip’s innovative solutions include conversational AI and new messaging technologies such as Rich Communication Services (RCS), providing brands with a competitive edge in customer engagement.
Commenting on the documentary, Infobip CEO Silvio Kutić said: “As technology and customer preferences evolve, Infobip has been at the forefront of driving innovation in omnichannel communications, as demonstrated by our partnership with Uber. Our team continues to explore new frontiers and deliver market-leading solutions that enable seamless interactions between businesses and their customers.”
The documentary is now available for viewing, offering an in-depth look at Infobip’s journey and its impact on global business communication.
