Lema arraigned for inciting unrest

Mr Lema, who was arrested at his home on Friday morning, went on a hunger strike before being arraigned by the police.

Arusha. Arusha Member of Parliament Mr Godbless Lema appears before Resident Magistrate court facing incitement charges against the Tanzanian government.

Security at the court has been strengthened as Chadema supporters are denied entrance to court grounds.

Mr Lema arrived at the court earlier in the morning escorted by two police vans.

Mr Lema, who was arrested at his home on Friday morning, went on a hunger strike before being arraigned by the police.
