Dar es Salaam. A vibrant showcase of livestock excellence, regional collaboration, and farmer empowerment is set to unfold at the Tri-Nations Expo 2025, scheduled for 13–14 June at the Ubena Zomozi Exhibition Grounds in Chalinze, Coast Region.

The event, which will bring together livestock from Tanzania, Kenya, and Namibia, aims to advance the livestock industry through knowledge-sharing, innovation, and market exposure.

Key highlights of the Expo include foot and bicycle races, livestock product exhibitions, educational seminars, and on-site access to financial and insurance services tailored for livestock keepers. Visitors will also enjoy a variety of food and drink stalls, along with a dedicated entertainment area for children.

The Expo’s theme, “Building Partnerships, Advancing Agriculture”, underscores the event’s goal of fostering regional collaboration in livestock production while promoting sustainable farming practices.

The event received a major boost this week with the announcement of NMB Bank Plc as the Gold Sponsor. The bank will use the platform to launch its NMB Mifugo Campaign, aimed at providing livestock farmers with financial education and insurance services across both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

“We see the Tri-Nations Expo 2025 as more than just an exhibition,” said Mr Nsolo Mlozi, NMB Bank’s Head of Agribusiness, during the sponsorship announcement.

“It is a platform designed to elevate the livestock sector, and NMB Bank is proud to be a key participant in this significant event,” he added.

Mr Mlozi noted that livestock farming is a crucial contributor to Tanzania’s economy, supporting food security, employment, and trade.

“NMB Bank is committed to being a trusted partner for livestock keepers by providing financial solutions that help them grow and manage risk effectively,” he said.

He added that the bank’s involvement reflects a long-term vision to support and modernise Tanzania’s livestock sector.

“This is more than just an investment in the Expo. It’s a long-term commitment to fostering growth in the livestock industry for the benefit of our nation,” Mr Mlozi emphasised.

Mbogo Ranches Director, Mr Naweed Mulla, who is one of the organisers, expressed confidence in the event’s potential, highlighting the participation of top-tier livestock farms from across Africa.

“These names are synonymous with excellence and innovation in livestock farming,” said Mr Mulla.

Participating farms include Mbogo Ranches, Super Game Dealers, Tanzania Game and Livestock, Silversand Brahman, Brandy Bush Reds, and Ol Pejeta Beef.

Mr Mulla commended NMB Bank for backing the Expo, saying the sponsorship reflects the bank’s strong support for innovation, entrepreneurship, and regional agricultural development.

“We are grateful for NMB’s partnership on this journey to strengthen the livestock and agricultural sectors,” he said.

The Expo is expected to attract livestock keepers, agribusiness professionals, policymakers, investors, and families, offering a dynamic mix of technical learning, business opportunities, and community engagement.
