Mbagala resident wins brand-new car in Yas promotion

Dar es Salaam. A resident of Mbagala, Dar es Salaam, has become the latest winner of a brand-new vehicle through the YAS Magift ya Kugift promotion. Ramadhani Mwinchande was officially handed the keys to a zero-kilometre KIA Sorento in a ceremony held on Thursday.

Mwinchande is the second Tanzanian to win a grand prize in the ongoing campaign by YAS and Mixx by YAS, which seeks to reward loyal customers for their continued support.

Speaking at the event, YAS Southern Dar Region Director Robert Kasulwa said the promotion underscores the company’s commitment to appreciating its customers.

“Today, we are making history again by handing over a brand-new KIA Sorento to our winner, Ramadhani Abdallah Mwinchande. This is not just a victory for one person but a win for all our customers who continue to trust and use our services daily,” Kasulwa said.

Since its launch, the Magift ya Kugift campaign has benefited over 1,300 Tanzanians, awarding two brand-new cars, cash prizes worth over Sh840 million, and more than 540 smartphones.

Highlighting the company’s achievements in the 100 days since rebranding from Tigo and Tigopesa, Kasulwa noted that YAS had received multiple accolades, including recognitions from Ookla, the TEHAMA Awards, and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for its contributions as a top taxpayer.

For Mwinchande, winning the car was a dream come true.

“I am overjoyed to receive this prize. When I first got the call informing me that I had won, I couldn’t believe it. But today, I am leaving with a brand-new car. I sincerely thank YAS and Mixx by YAS for recognising and valuing their customers,” he said.
