Mwananchi, ATOGS partner for landmark energy event

Dar es Salaam. Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL) and the Association of Tanzania Oil & Gas Service Providers (ATOGS) are joining forces to host a landmark event, Energy Connect 2024, on August 21st, 2024.

This initiative aligns with Tanzania’s national clean cooking agenda and promotes a sustainable energy future.

Slated for August 21, 2024, the event dubbed ‘Energy Connect 2024’ will run with a theme, “Clean Cooking, Green Energy: Synergy for Innovations in Sustainable Energy.”

According to the organisers, this event aims to bring together key stakeholders from various sectors to discuss action plans and cutting-edge solutions promoting sustainable energy solutions in the energy sector.

MCL’s managing director Mr Bakari Machumu said the company is committed to promoting sustainability and innovation in Tanzania.

“We are dedicated to providing extensive public awareness to communities in the country and highlighting the practices and adaptation of clean cooking practices through discussions, and groundbreaking solutions that will emerge from this event,” he said. Mr Machumu added: “Through this partnership, we can drive awareness and action towards a cleaner, greener future in Tanzania.”

Ministry of Energy’s permanent secretary Eng. Felchesmi Mramba said the ministry will support and collaborate with MCL and ATOGS in Energy Connect 2024, as the theme resonates with national goals and vision for a sustainable energy future.

“I urge the stakeholders and key players to participate in this Clean cooking energy initiative, we are committed to fostering an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration in the clean energy sector. We believe this event will catalyse impactful discussions and partnerships that will drive progress and development in Tanzania and beyond,” he said.

Energy Connect 2024 will serve as a dynamic platform for exploring the latest advancements in clean cooking and green energy technologies.

The event will feature a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, B2B activities, and exhibitions, winding up with a Cocktail Gala, all designed to foster collaboration and drive innovation in the sustainable energy sector.

The focus will be on clean cooking technologies and green energy innovations mobilisation, emphasising the critical role of synergistic partnerships in achieving our sustainability goals.
