National Lottery teams up with Mixx by Yas for seamless digital access

Dar es Salaam. The National Lottery of Tanzania has entered into a strategic partnership with Mixx by Yas to enhance accessibility and engagement ahead of its highly anticipated launch. The collaboration is expected to streamline ticket purchases and winnings claims through digital platforms, making lottery participation more convenient for millions of Tanzanians.
The partnership will leverage Yas Tanzania’s vast customer base of over 23 million users, enabling seamless ticket purchases via mobile money services, USSD codes, and the Mixx by Yas app. Additionally, users will receive real-time updates, promotional offers, and exclusive content related to the National Lottery, ensuring a more interactive and engaging experience.
Speaking at a press briefing in Dar es Salaam, Mr Kelvin Koka, Director at ITHUBA Tanzania, the officially appointed operator of the National Lottery, emphasized the significance of the partnership.

"The National Lottery of Tanzania is a national asset that aims to deliver entertainment, economic benefits, and value to Tanzanians. By partnering with Mixx by Yas, we are ensuring that our services are widely accessible through trusted and familiar digital platforms," said Koka.
Ms Angelica Pesha, Chief Officer of Mixx by Yas, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the impact of digital integration in driving participation.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with the National Lottery of Tanzania in this transformative initiative. Our digital platforms will enable secure and convenient access, allowing more Tanzanians to take part in the lottery effortlessly," she said.
The partnership is expected to expand access to lottery services, particularly in urban and peri-urban areas, by integrating Mixx by Yas' advanced financial solutions with the National Lottery’s operations. The move aligns with the growing digital adoption in Tanzania and aims to set a new benchmark for lottery participation in the country.
