Nida introduces website to simplify registration

Dar es Salaam. Tanzanians can now register for the National Identification Numbers (NIN) through the newly introduced website https://services.nida.go.tz/nidportal/get_nin.aspx.

Nida has introduced the platform in order to make it easy for citizens to get their NIN without physically visiting the authority’s offices.

This is according to the communication unit and document storage in the government.

To access the service one has to visit Nida website (www.nida.go.tz) and press national identification on the menu.

Then one will have to enter his/her details including first name, surname, the date of his/her birth as well as the first and surname of his/her mother before pressing search button to get his/her number.

Nida also revealed that the National Identification Cards of those, who have already registered will be taken to ward offices to make it easy for citizens to access.
