NMB ready to help firms featuring in Top 100 survey tackle capital challenges

NMB managing director Ineke Bussemaker

Dar es Salaam. NMB Bank Plc has said it is willing help companies participating in the Tanzania Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies surveys to tackle challenges related to capital.

Speaking during a gala dinner to recognise Tanzania’s top 100 nid-sized companies on Thursday, October 25, NMB managing director Ineke Bussemaker said the financial entity has what it takes to help firm’s capital requirements.

Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies Survey, which started seven years ago, is a brainchild of Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL)--through its The Citizen brand, and KPMG.

"We are there to support you financially because you are the backbone of the country's economy," noted Ms Bussemaker.

Expounding that if the participating companies were to grow they would need to secure capital from commercial banks and NMB is the right choice for them.

She also said for them (mid-sized companies) to record profit they needed to undergo digitalisation.

"If you automate your operations you stand a chance to run your businesses rationally and hence increase productivity," said Ms Bussemaker.

While NMB has become the main sponsor of this year’s survey, which was officially launched on July 10 this year, other sponsors include Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), Dar es Salaam- based Hyatt Regency and Azam TV.
