Dar es Salaam. Fifteen per cent of Victoria Finance Plc’s credit will go to farmers this year.

The customers will mainly be poultry keepers, Victoria Finance Plc managing director Julius Mcharo told participants in a seminar on Monday, February 25, 2019.

The event has been organised by the company in and Global Communities – Tanzania.

It brought together stakeholders in poultry faming and value addition.

"In our new system we don't give money directly to farmers, rather they will be visited by our officers. During the visit, they will be accessed and get our assistance. If they want chicken feeds we finance the whole process until they are ready for market" he noted.

Poultry farmer Fatma Suleiman said the opportunity to get knowledge on access of loans has given her confidence to seek and get funds for her business.
