President Samia announces more appointments and transfers

Dar es Salaam. In a mini-administrative shake-up, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has made several appointments and transfers within the local government, including top executives of the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).

These changes aim to strengthen governance and enhance the effectiveness of various administrative positions across the nation.

Some of the key appointments and transfers include:

Sixtus Raphael Mapunda, who has been relocated from the Sumbawanga District to become the new District Commissioner of Temeke.

Kenan Laban Kihongosi, who formerly held the position of District Commissioner in Urambo, has been reassigned to the Momba District in Songwe.

Elibariki Bajuta, who previously served as the Senior Assistant Commissioner for Conservation at the NCAA, will now take up the role of District Commissioner in Urambo.

William Simon Mwakilema, who held the position of Commissioner for Conservation at Tanapa, is the new District Commissioner of Korogwe.

On the other hand, Nyakia Ally Chirukile has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Sumbawanga, succeeding Sixtus Raphael Mapunda.

Halfan H. Magari, who was the Director of the Korogwe District Council, has been replaced by Goodluck Abinala Mwangomango.

Said Majaliwa is now the Director of Tanga Town, having previously served as the Director of Kilindi District in Tanga.

Faraja Paschal Msigwa has been appointed as the Director of Kilindi District in Tanga, formerly serving as the District Commissioner of Karatu in Arusha.

Naima Bakari Chondo is the new District Commissioner of Singida Town, taking over from Goodluck Abinala Mwangomango, who has been appointed as the Director of Korogwe District.

Shamim Adam Sadiq has been named the District Commissioner of Ruangwa. Hamza Hussein Hamza has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Ngorongoro, having previously served as the Division Officer in Ngudu, Kwimba District, Mwanza.

Lameck Karanga Ng’ang’a is the new District Commissioner of Karatu in Arusha, having previously served as the Division Officer in Karatu.

Musa Kuji has been appointed as the Acting Commissioner for Conservation at Tanapa, coming from his role as Deputy Commissioner for Tanapa.

These appointments and transfers are expected to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to various administrative roles across Tanzania as President Samia continues to reform the government
