According to the charge sheet read out in court, the outspoken politician, Revr Msigwa and his supporters allegedly injured and hindered police from performing their duty.

Chadema’s Iringa Urban parliamentary seat candidate Rev Peter Msigwa and three other people appeared at the Iringa Resident Magistrate Court Wednesday and charged with four counts including breach of peace.

However, six other people did not appear in court today.

According to the charge sheet read out in court, the outspoken politician, Revr Msigwa and his supporters allegedly injured and hindered police from performing their duty.

Rev Msigwa and his other co-accused denied all charges and were released after they successfully met bail conditions.

The politician was one of 64 opposition Chadema supporters arrested and remanded by police in Iringa town last week allegedly for causing trouble.
